When the raffle went live we published a commitment to a secret 256-bit random seed. At close we reveal the seed and the ticket list. Anyone can recompute the winner:
- Hash the seed with SHA-256. It must equal the commitment published before any tickets were sold.
- Compute HMAC-SHA256 with the seed (as text) as the key and the raffle number as the message.
- Take that 256-bit number modulo the number of tickets. The result is the position in the ticket list. The ticket at that position wins.
